Eucharistic Family Rosary Crusade

The October 13th Candlelight Rosary Procession and Fatima Pilgrimage was a Great Success!

Thank you for making the October 13th Candlelight Rosary Procession and Fatima Pilgrimage a Great Success!

Over 1300 pilgrims joined Bishop Finn to mark the beginning of the Year of Faith for the Diocese of Kansas City-St Joseph. It also celebrated the 95th anniversary of the sixth and final monthly apparition of the Virgin to three children in Fatima, Portugal.

The service, held indoors due to the rain, was covered by the Catholic Key, the newspaper of the Diocese of Kansas City-St Joseph. It was a wonderful evening guided by Our Lady and the Holy Spirit.

In 1938, Father Peyton contracted a severe case of tuberculosis while studying as a seminarian at Holy Cross College in Washington, D.C. After the doctors failed to find a cure for him, he turned to the Blessed Mother and promised to spend his life promoting devotion to her if he were healed. Miraculously, he was cured and began to lead large Rosary Crusades for tens of thousands of people in various cities including New York, San Francisco and New Orleans. In 1985, Father Peyton's Rosary Rally in the Philippines drew more than two million people.
